Hamburger Steak

You gotta eat something…

The Lewis family members are VERY picky eaters.  Okay, just my husband and I are, Matthew is actually a very good eater and likes almost everything.  My husband is extremely picky when it comes to his food and sometimes it is a real challenge to feed him.  That is one reason I am driven to create this blog…I want to remember and have a quick reference to all of the foods that he will actually eat.  The other night I made this hamburger steak or whatever you want to call it.  I was a little worried at first, but we all LOVED it.  Here’s what you do:

Fry up some hamburgers (1lb.) seasoned to your liking (Nature seasoning, salt & pepper, Lawry’s, and a little garlic for us).  While your burgers are frying get a mixing bowl and mix a packet of brown gravy and a cup of milk or water and then mix in a can of cream of mushroom soup.
After the patties have browned dump your mixture into the skillet and reduce heat to a simmer turning them once or twice while simmering.  Simmer for about 5-10 minutes or until your gravy is to the consistency that you like.

Serve with mashed potatoes, your choice of veggies, a good salad, or hot rolls or bread.

Enjoy,

Our family

The Lewis Family

Christian, Kendra, and Matthew

Our family started when Christian and I got married on July 7, 2006
Then our family grew when Matthew Trey Lewis was born…

….on July 13, 2007
Our family has grown and flourished since 7-7-06 and we have moved a couple of times.  We started our family in an apartment in St. Joseph, Missouri then we moved to Oak, Missouri (outside of Maysville) where we rented an old farm home from Sam Owen.
From there life took us to Cameron, Missouri where we bought our first home in September of 2008.
As a family we have had some really great times over the years and gone many places.  I wished I had started blogging when our family actually started, but since I didn’t I will play catch up and blog our big family events from the past until I lead up to the present.  Family is important, every little event, that is why I want to remember it and share it…that’s what Blog’s are for right?

Love Always, The Lewis’s
