generations of tricks

So I have to share the trick this kid pulled repeatedly this evening at the pool.

We were racing in the pool and seeing who could swim to the other side first. I won the first time, the second time and the third time, then the fourth time we tied and the fifth time he beat me (I was pretty tired at that point).

Only to find out that the entire time Matthew was getting out of the pool and running, then jumping in at the end and making me think he was swimming. I fully didn’t believe him when he told me, thinking he wouldn’t have had time to do that. While he was telling me, I was saying no way, then I looked up and a guy at the other end of the pool was nodding and saying he really was doing that. 🙄

The little brat. Oh, but wait….I got him back.

I booby trapped his room tonight and he was so scared he was almost crying. 😂 I think he would have been had I not been laughing so hard. I SOOO wish I had a video, but I don’t. I set a trap that when he lifted up his covers to go to bed an object flew up at him and scared him. 😂

For generations my family has been tricksters. My Gramie (great grandma) was the queen of tricks, always playing tricks on us as kids….and as adults. My mom’s parents played tricks, my mom played all kinds of tricks on us kids and since my son thinks he’s going to be a trickster, I guess I better step up my game!
